What MoveMetrics Does

MoveMetrics Mobile Rehab Clinic helps people who are struggling with pain, weakness, balance loss, mobility decline, post-rehab uncertainty, and the fear of losing independence.

Many people finish physical therapy, receive a diagnosis, or are told to “just stay active,” but they are still left asking what to do next. They may still feel unsteady walking, weak getting out of a chair, unsure climbing stairs, afraid of falling, or frustrated that everyday movement feels harder than it should.

That is the problem we solve

MoveMetrics brings clinical exercise physiology, mobility assessment, and individualized movement strategy directly into your home where real life happens.

We work with adults managing orthopedic, cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic, neurological, and cognitive conditions, including post-surgical recovery, Parkinson’s, stroke recovery, dementia-related movement decline, arthritis, balance dysfunction, and long-term mobility loss.

Our focus is not fitness

Our focus is function

We assess movement, monitor vitals when appropriate, identify limitations, and create science-based movement interventions that improve strength, balance, confidence, and day-to-day independence.

This is not general fitness training.

This is purposeful movement, clinical reasoning, and exercise used as a physiological intervention to help people move safer, recover stronger, and stay independent longer.

Clinical Movement. Functional Results.

I created MoveMetrics because too many people finish rehab and are still left asking, “Now what?”

They may be discharged from physical therapy, cleared after surgery, or managing a diagnosis like Parkinson’s, stroke recovery, arthritis, cardiac conditions, pulmonary disease, or dementia-related decline yet they are still dealing with weakness, stiffness, balance loss, pain, fatigue, fear of falling, and uncertainty about how to move safely in everyday life.

That gap is where people often decline.

They are told to stay active, but no one explains how.

They are trying to protect their progress, but they do not know what is safe.

They want to stay independent, but everyday movement feels harder than it should.

That is the problem MoveMetrics solves.

My work is also deeply personal.

Walking alongside my mother through Parkinson’s dementia showed me how quickly mobility, confidence, and independence can change. It reinforced how important movement is not just for strength, but for brain health, dignity, family support, and quality of life.

That experience shaped the way I care for people.

I understand that movement is not just about exercise.

It is about helping someone get out of a chair safely.

Walk without fear.
Manage stairs with confidence.
Reduce fall risk.
Stay in their own home longer.
Support caregivers.
Preserve independence.

MoveMetrics uses clinical exercise physiology, movement assessment, and individualized intervention to help adults managing orthopedic, cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic, neurological, and cognitive conditions move safer, recover stronger, and function better in real life.

MoveMetrics is built on one simple belief:

Exercise is not just activity.
It is a physiological intervention.

The goal is never just exercise.

The goal is helping people protect their progress, reduce dysfunction, and stay strong enough to live life on their own terms.

MoveMetrics Mobile Rehab Clinic provides in-home clinical exercise, mobility assessment, post-rehab movement support, balance training, and functional movement services in Vallejo, Fairfield, Napa, Benicia, Oakland, Berkeley, and surrounding areas.

Who MoveMetrics Helps

MoveMetrics helps adults move better, feel steadier, and regain confidence in their daily function.

MoveMetrics provides clinical exercise physiology, mobility assessment, and post-rehab movement support for individuals managing:

• Orthopedic movement limitations involving the hips, knees, back, shoulders, and joint dysfunction

• Balance challenges, instability, and fall-risk concerns

• Post-rehabilitation progression after physical therapy or surgery

• Cardiac-safe movement and exercise support for heart conditions, hypertension, and recovery

• Metabolic health concerns including diabetes, weight-related mobility limitations, and deconditioning

• Neurological conditions including Parkinson’s, stroke recovery, and movement-related decline

• Chronic pain, stiffness, mobility loss, and strength decline associated with aging

The goal is always the same: improve function, restore confidence, build strength, and support greater independence in everyday life.

The MoveMetrics Process

MoveMetrics Mobile Rehab Clinic — Your Partner in Functional Movement and Everyday Mobility

The MoveMetrics Process

MoveMetrics provides a structured clinical system designed to support safer movement, stronger function, and long-term independence, but no two clients are treated exactly the same. Our services are here to help even more individuals achieve their goals.

Every client is evaluated individually, and every plan is built case by case based on medical history, current condition, mobility level, functional needs, and personal goals. Whether you are managing orthopedic pain, balance changes, cardiac concerns, metabolic conditions, neurological disorders, post-surgical recovery, or age-related mobility decline, the approach is always personalized to what your body needs most.

What to Expect

Step 1: Clinical Movement Check-In and Vitals Review

Each session begins with a focused review of how your body is responding that day. This may include checking and recording appropriate vitals such as blood pressure, pulse oximetry, heart rate, and blood glucose when necessary, along with pain levels, fatigue, gait mechanics, balance reactions, mobility changes, and any new symptoms.

Step 2: Individualized Movement Preparation

Movement preparation is based on your condition, diagnosis, and daily function. Controlled mobility work and purposeful physical activity are used to improve circulation, joint mechanics, coordination, movement quality, and safely prepare your body for daily function and clinical movement intervention. For individuals managing neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, dementia-related symptoms, or post-stroke recovery, this may also include guided cognitive movement activities designed to support awareness, coordination, engagement, and safer functional movement.

Step 3: Targeted Strength, Stability, and Functional Movement Intervention

Movement interventions are selected specifically for your needs, whether improving post-stroke motor control, managing arthritis, rebuilding gait strength after surgery, supporting cardiac-safe conditioning, improving balance for fall prevention, addressing weakness and deconditioning, or maintaining mobility and function with neurological decline. The focus is never general fitness; the focus is safer movement, stronger function, and greater independence in everyday life.

Step 4: Real-Life Functional Movement Practice

We focus on the movements daily life depends on: standing, walking, stepping, reaching, carrying, turning, stair negotiation, floor transfers, and transitions that directly affect independence and confidence. Our site is currently under construction to enhance your experience with even better resources.

Step 5: Progress Review and Ongoing Strategy

Each session ends with a review of your progress, how your body responded, and clear recommendations to help you continue moving safely and effectively between visits. The goal is never just exercise; the goal is better function, safer movement, and lasting independence.

MoveMetrics Mobile Rehab Clinic provides in-home clinical exercise, mobility assessment, post-rehab movement support, balance training, and functional movement services in Vallejo, Fairfield, Napa, Benicia, Oakland, Berkeley, and surrounding areas.

What to Expect From Your First In-Home Assessment

Your first session with MoveMetrics is not a workout class. It is a structured clinical movement assessment designed to understand how your body currently moves, where limitations exist, and what type of support will help you move more safely and confidently.

During this assessment, we may:

• Review your health history, medications, surgeries, and current symptoms

• Check blood pressure and basic health markers when appropriate

• Observe posture, gait, balance, joint mobility, and everyday movement patterns

• Assess your home environment for safety, accessibility, and movement barriers

• Introduce light guided movement based on your comfort level, mobility, and medical condition

This session is intentional, individualized, and paced to meet you where you are.

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is forced.

After your assessment, you will have a clearer understanding of:

• How your body is functioning right now

• What may be contributing to pain, stiffness, weakness, or instability

• What type of movement support makes the most sense moving forward

From there, MoveMetrics provides clear professional recommendations and the right next steps for continued care, mobility support, and long-term functional improvement.
