MoveMetrics is a mobile rehab service led by a Board-Certified Exercise Physiologist. It provides medical exercise for people managing orthopedic pain, mobility loss, cardiac concerns, metabolic conditions, neurological limitations, and post-surgery restrictions.
Personal trainers focus on workouts.
MoveMetrics focuses on clinical movement, including joint mechanics, gait retraining, balance, safe conditioning, and restoring daily function for people with diagnosed medical conditions.
Most likely, yes. MoveMetrics supports individuals with:
• orthopedic pain or joint replacements
• mobility changes and balance issues
• post-wellness or cardiac rehab needs
• diabetes, hypertension, metabolic disease
• neurological conditions like Parkinson’s, neuropathy, or mild stroke movement changes
• post-surgical movement limitations
If you’re unsure, you can schedule a free Clinical Movement Consultation.
If your goal is general fitness, strength building, or traditional workouts, my studio Gymnanigans is the right place for you.
MoveMetrics is specifically for individuals who need medically-guided movement — not fitness training.
Gymnanigans = fitness & strength
MoveMetrics = medical exercise & clinical mobility support
Both are available, but they serve very different needs.
Each visit includes:
• a clinical movement check-in
• joint and tissue mobility preparation
• condition-specific strength, stability, and motor-control work
• balance and gait training
• real-life functional movement practice
• home strategies to support progress between visits
MoveMetrics is a private-pay medical exercise service and is not billed directly through insurance.
However, superbills are available upon request.
Some clients choose to submit superbills to their insurance or HSA/FSA accounts for possible reimbursement, depending on their plan.
Sessions run 60–75 minutes, but this time includes much more than exercise.
A typical visit blends:
• conversation about how you’re feeling that day
• a guided movement check-in
• gentle mobility work
• condition-specific strength or balance exercises
• rest breaks as needed
• real-life movement practice (like stepping, reaching, standing, or gait work)
• a brief review and home guidance
The session flows at your pace, based on your mobility, safety needs, and comfort.
This is not a workout—it's a clinical movement session designed to support your body without overwhelming it.
Yes. Gymnanigans is still available for private, one-on-one fitness and strength sessions.
Gymnanigans focuses on building strength, improving conditioning, and helping clients move better through exercise-based fitness, not medical exercise.
MoveMetrics is separate — it’s the clinical division that supports individuals with diagnosed medical conditions who need medically guided movement rather than traditional workouts.
Yes. As part of clinical exercise physiology, I record resting blood pressure, heart rate, and how your body responds during movement when appropriate for your condition.
I do not take medical lab values such as A1C, but if you’re managing a metabolic condition like diabetes, I may recommend that you monitor your blood sugar at home and share any relevant information so I can support your movement plan safely.
These measurements help guide intensity, pacing, and safety during your session and ensure your program matches your medical needs.
If you are managing diabetes or another metabolic condition, it’s helpful to check your blood sugar before we begin, especially if your healthcare provider has recommended regular monitoring.
This allows us to make sure you’re in a safe range for movement and helps guide how we pace the session.
You’re welcome to share your reading with me, but it is entirely optional and based on your comfort level and your provider’s guidance.
Yes. MoveMetrics is designed to improve the movements you rely on every day—standing up, walking confidently, turning safely, stepping, reaching, and navigating your home or community.
The goal isn’t to “work out”; it’s to help your body function with more ease, control, and stability in real life.
Yes. MoveMetrics is built for people who have pain, stiffness, mobility loss, or movement limitations.
Sessions are adapted to your ability on that day—no forcing, no pushing through pain.
Everything is done within safe, clinically guided ranges.
